New York University is connecting veteran students and alumni with a new networking group called the NYU Veterans Alliance.

The group maintains an e-mail network to get resources and answers to current students, and also plans numerous events, such as receptions, film screenings and community education events, according to Lauren Carrescia, assistant director of affinity programs for NYU alumni.

NYU has about 160 student veterans in its undergraduate programs, Carrescia said.

For more information, and to join the group, go to http://www.nyu.edu/src/military/ or http://www.alumni.nyu.edu/veteransalliance.
