A career catalog is your one-stop shop for everything a prospective civilian employer could ask for, says Virginia Employment Commission veterans representative Dave Silcox, a former Marine and speaker at Army Career and Alumni Program transition courses in the Washington, D.C., area.
The following is a list of everything Silcox says you need to create your own career catalog and a "master application," so that when a company asks, every document is within reach.
It may be appropriate to keep some original documents in a safe-deposit box.

Military training record.
Verification of Military Experience and Training, Form DD-2586.
